TOM WARE Prince of Storytellers

The Storyteller Came to Blacktown Workers Club

On Friday, 13th April 2012 Prince of Storytellers Tom Ware presented the story of the Titanic in A Night to Remember. It was truly  ‘A Night to Remember’.

Tom’s vision for this Toastmasters High Performance Leadership Project was to promote Toastmasters and storytelling at an affordable price. From the feedback we conclude that this has been a resounding success. Residual profits from this event will be presented to the Toastmasters International Ralph Smedley Memorial Fund to promote affordable communication and leadership training. Stay tuned for further updates on the conclusion of this project.

This website is impressive. I have been to a couple of Tom’s workshops and also listened to some of his story-telling speeches. They are always professional, passionate and helpful. I’m sure this major event will be a huge success and all participants will definitely benefit from his experience.

Thank you, Percy. Always good to get encouraging feedback. As you’re aware, this is a Toastmasters High Performance Leadership Project. I’ve been getting a tremendous amount of help from my Action Team members. Yes, it would be fair to say it’s a ‘steep learning curve,’ but it will be worth it.

Tom Ware is a passionate enthusiast who will do this amazing subject proud. The sinking of the Titanic on its maiden voyage created – like the Jack the Ripper murders 25 years earlier – a media storm that has never abated. The liner sank through human error because it was steaming fast ahead in an ocean full of icebergs. During the terrible few hours that the lifeboats were being loaded, human nature showed itself at its best and its worst. This is a story of vanity, selfishness and greed – and of compassion, selflessness and heroism. What happened to the Titanic passengers was heart-rending: even a hundred years later there are new stories to tell.

  5. Tom says:

Thank you, Richard. I am an enthusiast, but I doubt I know anywhere near as much about the Titanic as you do. I’m proud to have you take an interest in my project.

    Thanks again.
